Photography at the Verismo bird feeder

These bird photos were done from within Verismo's house through the patio windows.
You can do this with and inexpensive telephoto lens and a tripod.
The Red-Bellied Woodpecker on the right can be seen grabbing this sunflower seed in this flash movie.
He constantly is flying down onto the snow-covered patio post
to grab a few seeds.  Then he goes onto the trunk of a yard tree to eat them.
Back and forth, and it fascinates the Cats to watch.

If you look very closely you can her red belly as she grabs the seed.
