The Amazing Dozen Litter of Maine Coons
This litter of twelve Maine Coon
kittens was born in one day, from one mother. Each of the Amazing 12 kittens
pictured here are shown at 12 weeks of age, both in the group shots and the
individual small pictures. You can click on each Maine Coon kitten's small
picture to see a much larger 12 week old image of that kitten. You will also see
links to adult Maine Coon Cat pictures of the same kittens.
Keeping the mother assisted with frequent feeding of numerous formula, nipple-bottles
and helping cleaning that many babies was a time-consuming dedication (especially before weaning),
and it wouldn't have gone so superbly for the kittens without my daughter, Susan, whom
I acknowledge with special thanks.
At twelve weeks of age the group collectively weighed 52 pounds, almost 5 times their mother's weight. When they piled on her, she became invisible. Here they are eating out of a deep, 13-inch pan. They were devouring 2 1/2 pounds of wet Fancy Feast and Friskies at a time.
